Crawford Allan
Crawford is a third-generation Allan solicitor and the founder of Next Law. With many years’ experience, he advises clients on all aspects of property law, from residential purchases and sales to complex commercial transactions.
He is also trusted by families and individuals across Perthshire and beyond for his private client work, including Wills and Powers of Attorney. Crawford has helped shape Next Law’s client-focused ethos and continues to play a leading role in its growth and development. A former tutor on the Diploma in Legal Practice, he has a passion for mentoring the next generation of solicitors. Living in Perth, Crawford combines local knowledge with extensive expertise to provide clear, practical advice.

Ross McNaughton
Ross specialises in all aspects of residential and rural property law. Whilst Ross’s focus is on residential conveyancing matters, he also has particular experience in agricultural property law where he worked closely with farming families and landowners across Scotland.
Living in Crieff, Perthshire, Ross combines local knowledge with practical legal expertise to deliver clear and straightforward advice to his clients.

Dee-Ann Townsley
Dee-Ann has been with Next Law since its inception and is an extremely valued member of the team. As Senior Legal Secretary, she is often the first point of contact for clients and is known for her helpful and personable manner. She plays a central role in supporting the firm’s solicitors and ensuring that day-to-day client matters run smoothly and efficiently.
With a natural ability to put clients at ease, Dee-Ann takes pride in guiding them through their journey with Next Law and making the process as straightforward as possible. Living in Perth, she combines local knowledge with her approachable style to provide a welcoming and dependable service for clients.

Michaella Hildreth
Michaella is an Accredited Paralegal who specialises in residential conveyancing, guiding clients through the process of buying, selling and transferring property. She also has valuable experience in family law matters, bringing a supportive and practical approach to sensitive situations.
Living in Dundee, Michaella is well placed to assist clients across Tayside and beyond.
Trainee Solicitor
Ayesha Sattar
Ayesha is a Trainee Solicitor within our property law team. She primarily assists clients with residential conveyancing and is also developing her experience in other areas of law, including commercial property.
Having completed her LLB at Abertay University, Dundee, and her Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Dundee, Ayesha has quickly become a valued member of the firm. Living in Dundee, she brings local knowledge to her role and has already been given significant responsibility and client contact under the supervision of Partner, Crawford Allan.
Legal Secretary
Christopher Martin
Christopher is an experienced Legal Secretary and a valued member of the Next Law team. He is known for his attention to detail and helpful manner, qualities that ensure the smooth progress of client matters.
Much of Christopher’s work focuses on the “back-end” administration, including the registration of titles, as well as assisting the solicitors with the drafting of legal documents. Living in Perth, Christopher provides dependable support to the whole team and helps deliver a seamless service for clients.
Legal Assistant
Alexander Sutherland
Alexander works part-time with Next Law alongside his Accountancy studies at college. He is a helpful and enthusiastic member of the team, always willing to learn new skills and support colleagues wherever needed.
Living in Perth, Alexander provides valuable assistance across a variety of tasks, gaining practical legal experience while contributing to the smooth running of the firm.
